On Wednesday April 9, 2008 TNSC organized the 13th Annual General Meeting to report its work achievement in 2007 and to exchange view between members and Board of Directors. On this occasion, TNSC was highly honored by H.E. Samak Sundaravej, Prime Minister and Defence Minister, who delivered a speech on “Government policy to revive Thailand economy” at Napalai Ballroom, Dusit Thani Hotel. There were altogether 400 people attending the meeting.

On Thursday March 27, 2008 TNSC organized the site visit no. 1/2008. Mr. Voravith Pavaravadhana, Deputy Executive Director, gave a welcome speech and presented TNSC activities and achievements last year at TNSC meeting room. After that, Mr.Anurak Udom, Sales Manager, from Pioneer Air Cargo Co., Ltd. presented “Documents Storage in the E-paperless System and Free Zone Inventory” at 11th floor, Lumpini Tower. Then, the members were invited to visit Pioneer Air Cargo Co., Ltd. to observe E-paperless system and TG and BFS inventory. There were 21 participants from 11 companies.

On March 18-19, 2008 TNSC and Department of Skill Development organized a seminar on “Fundamental of Import & Export”. The guest speakers were Mr. Boonlert Supapha, Senior Trade Services Specialist; Mrs. Patcharaporn Jeenavijarana, Deputy Director; and Mr. Araya Neelagun, Deputy Director in charge of Zone Manager, from International Trade Department, Kasikorn Bank. There were 60 people attending the seminar which was held at KU Home, Kasetsart University.

On Wednesday March 26, 2008 TNSC and Office of Trade Logistics, Department of Export Promotion organized a seminar on “Logistics for fruit and vegetable export”. The guest speakers were Mr.Pakasit Sarasuk, Director of Thai-Cool Solutions Co., Ltd.; Mrs. Runothai Mahaddhananond, TNSC Executive Director and Dr.Chackrit Duangphastra, Director of Logistics Service Provider Promotion Group, Department of Export Promotion. There were 80 people attending the seminar which was held at Manee Chan Resort, Chantaburi.

On Friday March 21, 2008 Mr. Suchart Chantaranakaracha, TNSC Chairman and Mr. Yoichi Kato, JETRO Bangkok Chairman opened the 1st Press Conference on “LQSP: Logistics Qualification System Program” together. The program will apply the Japanese training model and testing with some adjustments to suit Thai industrial environment. The program received the kind collaboration from Japan Institute of Logistics System (JILS) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). The Press Conference was held at Pimanman Room, Four Seasons Hotel. There were altogether 50 participants.

On Thursday March 20, 2008 Mr. Suchart Chantaranakaracha, TNSC Chairman, and members of Executive Board of Directors called upon Mr. Surapong Suebwonglee, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, to congratulate him on the occasion of being appointed to 2 important positions. Mr. Suchart took this opportunity to exchange view on various issues concerning the baht stability, freight rate payment in foreign currencies and returnable box etc. at Ministry of Finance.
