On Thursday 25th February 2010 Mr. Techa Boonyachai, Vice Chairman and Head of the Capacity Building Department, Thai National Shippers’ Council (TNSC), and committees of the Capacity Building Department participated in the site visit at Toyota Transport (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. The purposes of the visit were to adopt the best training practices and develop training courses for drivers in the future.

On February 23rd 2010 the Thai National Shippers’ Council (TNSC) organized a road show to meet with its members and business entrepreneurs in Ayudhaya. On this occasion, TNSC welcomed Mr. Suwat Asavathongkul, Chairman of the Bangkok Shipowners and Agents Association (BSAA) as a guest lecturer on “Liners and Its Services for Exporters”. In addition, TNSC invited Dr. Satabhorn Opasanon, a professor of the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Thammasart University, to give a special lecture on “Logistics and Supply Chain Management in the Economic Crisis Period” at Rachika Room, Woraburi Hotel, Ayothaya  Convention Resort, Ayudhaya Province. There were altogether 49 participants representing 30 companies.

On Wednesday 10th February 2010 the Thai National Shippers’ Council (TNSC) organized the “Certification Ceremony of Logistics Qualification System Program (LQSP)” 2009 from 17.00-19.30 hrs. at the VIP Grand Panorama 14th, the Emerald Hotel. In this event, Mr. Paiboon Ponsuwanna, TNSC Chairman and Mr. Masaaki Toma, Director of Energy and Environment Technology, JETRO, gave opening remarks and presented LQSP certificates to 30 attendees. Also, Mr. Chirdchai Siriya, an attendee from the Panasonic Siew Sales, Thailand, Co.,Ltd. who was the LQSP Alumni representative and Mr.Watis Plengjindarueng, an attendee from NYK Logistics, Thailand, Co.,Ltd., who received a top-score from LQSP 2009, were invited to present their case studies. There were altogether 40 participants in the event.

On Thursday February 4th 2010 TNSC Chairman, Mr.Paiboon Ponsuwanna, and TNSC directors welcomed representatives from the Japan Transport Cooperation Association (JTCA) at TNSC Meeting Room. On this occasion, they discussed about the future collaboration on developing logistics personnel.

On Monday February 1st 2010 TNSC Chairman, Mr.Paiboon Ponsuwanna, together with TNSC directors, welcomed delegation members of the Japan-Thailand Business Forum (JTBF). On this occasion, they exchanged views on directions and development of the Thai SMEs in ASEAN.
