On Friday June 8, 2007, Mr.Techa Boonyachai,  TNSC Vice Chairman was invited as a guest speaker in the public hearing on " Different Views and Aspects on Defining Standard on  Logistics Curriculum". This public hearing was organized by the Commission on Higher Education. The main objective of the hearing is to brainstorm and exchange views between personnel from educational institutes and other concerned parties to define Standard for Logistics Curriculum. The event was held at Ball Room, 3rd Floor, Century Park, Bangkok.

   On Wednesday June 13, 2007, Ms.Runothai Mahadhananond, Executive Director was a guest speaker on “Logistics Management in an Organization” at the Regional Meeting on Logistics Cost Problem at Nongkhai Province. The meeting was organized by DEP, Ministry of Commerce at Nongkhai Grand Hotel, Nongkhai. In the afternoon, this group was briefed by Nongkhai Customs House at Nongkhai Customs House.

On Thursday, May 24, 2007, Mr.Suchart Chantaranakaracha, TNSC Chairman and Assoc. Prof. Thai Tipsuwannakul (PhD.), Walailak University, signed MOU for cooperation in Cooperative Education, under the project on “Cooperative Education and Vocational Development”. The main objectives of this MOU are to provide opportunity for the two institutions to work together in various activities under Cooperative Education as well as to promote technical cooperation. The MOU signing ceremony took place at Phatumwan Room, Asia Hotel.

  TNSC Chairman, Mr. Suchart Chantaranakaracha and TNSC Executive Director, attended the 4th Asian Shippers’ Meeting hosted by Korean Shippers’ Council during May 20-23, 2007 in Seoul, Korea. Other shippers’ council participating the meeting included Japan Shippers’ Council, Hong Kong Shippers’ Council and Macau Shippers’ Council. The meeting discussed various issues of common interest namely ocean freight charge and surcharge issue, terminal handling charge (THC), E-shipping/E-trading, anti-trust immunity to liner shipping issue, airfreight industry and air-maritime/port security.

On Friday May 18, 2007, H.E. Mr.Krirk-krai Jirapaet, Minister of Commerce presided over the opening ceremony of the seminar on “How to make use of JTEPA”, during which he also made a keynote speech. The seminar was held at Royal Jubilee Ballroom, Impact Muang Thong Thani. This seminar organized by Ministry of Commerce and BOT, TNSC and FTI. There were altogether 700 participants attended the seminar. The main objective is to brainstorm among public and private sectors how to make optimum use of JTEPA in order to  increase exporter competitiveness.
