On Friday September 21, 2007 the Sub-Committee for Improvement of Export-Import Procedures in Thailand together with its 3 working teams attended the meeting with Deputy Minister of Transport (Mr. Sansern Wongcha-Um) and top officials of the Ministry at the meeting room of Ministry of Transport. The objective of this meeting is to follow up the progress of solving problems related to Import-Export by container system. This topic was brought up at the first meeting on June 11, 2007.

On September 12-16, 2007, Department of Export Promotion of Ministry of Commerce together with Thai National Shippers’ Council organized “Thailand International Logistics Fair 2007” at Hall 105, Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre. The event was honored by Ms.Oranuch Osathanond, Deputy Minister of Commerce, to preside at the opening ceremony. After that, she visited and joined an activity in TNSC booth. In addition, on Wednesday September 12 Mr.Suchart Chantaranakaracha, TNSC Chairman,   was also a guest speaker on “Trade Logistics Policy and Implication for Thailand’s Logistics Users and Services Provider” at the meeting of Global Logistics Network Symposium at BITEC.

On Thursday August 30, 2007 TNSC organized the 1st/2007 joint meeting between TNSC Board of Directors and TNSC advisors in order to report its past works and exchange views on related issues. The meeting was held at Pimanman Room, Four Seasons Hotel.  

On Wednesday August 29, 2007 at 10.30 a.m. Mr.Suchart Chantaranakaracha, Chairman and Ms. Wipawee Pichpongsa, Deputy Secretary - General held the press conference at TNSC meeting room on “Thai export situation 2007 and the impact from the government’s economic and export policies.” The conference focused on the fluctuation of baht value after the issuance of notice of Bank of Thailand’s measure, maritime transportation during the first 7 months and export outlook in the fourth quarter, exporter’s view and opinion on economic condition after the referendum on constitution 2007, and Bunker Recovery Surcharge collection.

On August 28, 2007 TNSC organized the seminar on “FTA and its impact on business” for TNSC members and the general public. The seminar was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chulacheeb Chinwanno, Chairman of The International Relations of the Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University, to serve as a guest speaker. The seminar was held at Ball room, Narai Hotel. There were altogether 77 participants attending the seminar.

On Friday August 17, 2007, Ms.Runothai Mahaddhananond, TNSC Executive Director, together with Ms. Pinthip Nipatpichyakul, CRM &CC manager of TNSC visited the Mass Communication Organization of Thailand to give flower basket to Mr.Wasan Paileeklee, Managing Director of MCOT to congratulate the organization upon its 30th Anniversary of establishment.
