2. Consultation center for members and general exporters. TNSC voices out problems of members and other exporters to the public and private sectors as well as propose solutions for all parties concerned by; Sit in several committees, sub committees and working committees set up by the government sector, for example on National Competitiveness on Logistics chaired by the Prime Minister and The national Committee on Logistics Development chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister
Other Committees include Committees on Intermodal Transportation, Committee on Import Management, Working Committee on Trade Facilitation, Working Committee on Export Procedures Improvement, Working Committee on Free Trade Arrangement etc
Provide a platform to solve export related issues by organizing a monthly joint meeting between representatives of various export associations, public sectors such as Department of Export Promotion, Department of External Trade, Customs Department, Department of Maritime Transportation, The Port Authority of Thailand, BSAA, TSA, TIFFA and TICTA etc. Participate in regional and international meetings which are:- The Federation of ASEAN Shippers’ Council Meeting (FASC). Asian Shippers’ Meeting of whose its members’ are : Japan Shippers’ Council, Hong Kong Shippers’ Council, Korean Shippers’ Council, China Shippers’ Association and Federation of ASEAN Shippers’ Council. Tripartite Shippers’ Meeting which consists of Shippers’ Council from America Europe and Asia.
All meetings have set a platform for Shippers from different countries and regions to discuss issues of common interest for example ; freight situation, new international rules and regulations relating to transportation. Most importantly, the fora have helped strengthen relationships among Shippers’ Councils worldwide.
