On Friday August 1, 2008 at 19.00 hours His Majesty the King granted a royal permission to Thai Naional Shippers’ Council together with Interior Ministry Ladies Association to host the merit-making ceremony of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana at the Dusit Maha Prasart Throne Hall.

On Tuesday July 29, 2008 TNSC organized seminar on “Logistics Law and International Shipping.” Mr.Pramual Chancheewa, Managing Director of Pramualchai Law Office, was invited as guest speaker at the seminar which held at Narai Hotel. There were altogether 20 participants.

On Saturday July 26, 2008 TNSC organized a bowling friendly match no.1/2008 to strengthen relationship between TNSC members and directors and to show our appreciation for the members support. Dr. Phietoon Trivijitkasem, Vice Chairman, gave a welcome speech and opened the match at Blu-O Rhythm & Bowl. There were altogether 56 people from 37 member companies. The results were as following:

‐ Winner team comprised Mr. Sithichai Intarak, Mr. Sakchai Athipa, Mr. Apitun Promfhai
‐ 1st runner-up team comprised Ms. Jatuporn Ruwanun, Sethanond Gunsen and Mr. Boonrod Suwanno
‐ 2nd runner-up team comprised Mr. Prasart Soontornchukiat, Mr. Suvit Promkingkaew and Mr. Julakrieng Dechpothiyanond
‐ Team Booby comprised Mr. Sompoch Thanthongrungsiri and Ms.Wilaiwan Pengmook
‐ Male winner was Mr. Nathapatra Klaiaksorn
‐ Female winner was Ms. Thitiwan Siwarunthep

On Tuesday July 22, 2008 Mr. Suchart Chantaranakaracha, TNSC Chairman, presented a flower basket to Mr. Sutham Chitranukroh, Chairman of the Bangkok Shipowners and Agents Association, to congratulate BSAA on the occasion of its 40th anniversary at Dusit Thani Hotel.

On Friday 11 July 28, 2008 TNSC organized a regional seminar in the South. Dr.Phietoon Trivijitkasem, Vice Chairman, welcomed the members and opened the seminar. After that, Mr. Voravith Pavaravadhana, Deputy Executive Director, gave a presentation on "The Roles of TNSC on logistics development" and Ph.D. Sathaporn Opasanon, lecturer of Thammasat University gave presentation on "Logistics Costing" at Diamond Plaza Hotel. In the afternoon, the members and entrepreneurs visited SC Group Co., Ltd. to learn about the port and inventory management and other logistics services. There were altogether 65 people from 35 companies joined the event.    

On Wednesday July 9, 2008 TNSC organized a seminar on "International Trade Insurance and Compensation Claim." The seminar was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Taweesak Theppitak from Burapha University and Mr. Pramuan Chancheewa, Managing Director, Pramuanchai Law Office as guest speakers. There were altogether 18 people participating in the seminar which was held at Narai Hotel.
