On Wednesday March 5, 2008 Mr. Suchart Chantaranakaracha, Chairman, and members of Executive Board of Directors called upon Mrs. Uraiwan Thienthong, Labour Minister, to congratulate her on the occasion of taking the helm of Labour Minister. Mr. Suchart also exchanged views on various issues such as labour insufficiency of industry, the necessity of importing foreign labour, Labour Protection Act B.E.2551 (2008), skill labour development and upgrading logistics knowledge to existing and new labour forces at Ministry of Labour.

On February 26-27, 2008 TNSC organized the seminar on “Logistics and Supply Chain Management” which was presented by Mr. Kongrit Chantrik, TNSC Logistics and Supply Chain Department Manager and Assist. Prof. Dr. Sompong Sirisophonsilp, Director of Transportation Institute, Chulalongkorn University. The event was organized at KU Home, Thammasart University. There were altogether 49 participants attending the seminar.

On February 20, 2008 TNSC organized the seminar on “Problem, obstacles and advantages from JTEPA” for members the general public. The seminar was honored by Ms.Natruja Chaikongla, Commercial Technocrat 6 of Department of Foreign Trade and Mr.Yoji Shibata, Senior Advisor of Japanese Entrepreneurs Responses on Trade Preference under JTEPA as guest speakers. There were altogether 48 participants attending the seminar which was held at Sukhothai room, Narai hotel.

On Monday February 11, 2008 Mr.Suchart Chantaranakaracha, TNSC Chairman; TNSC Executive Board of Director; representatives from The Thai Chamber of Commerce; EXIM Bank and Thai Food Processors’ Association welcomed the delegation of Japan-Thailand Business Forum (JTBF) and discussed on future collaboration between JTBF and TNSC. JTBF also introduced its organization and its Food Development Committee which has been established to promote import food from Thailand to Japan. In addition, JTBF considered TNSC as a counterpart for further coordination. The meeting was organized at TNSC meeting room.
