On Friday June 6, 2551 Mr. Paiboon Ponsuwanna, Vice Chairman, and Directors met Mr.Sorayut Petchtrakul, Advisor of Industry Minister, to discuss on 5 issues as following:

       -Single Window Entry development and Logistics Exchange (LOGEX) project
       -Urge Industry Ministry to study Logistics Cost Index in each industry.
       -The establishment of Southern Seaboard 
       -Food Safety
       -Promote the use of Cool Chain System

On Wednesday June 18, 2008 TNSC organized the seminar on "Product Liability Law" for members and the general public. The seminar was honored by Mr. Sompholn Trakulroong and Ms. Pintip Rujathikumporn from HNP Legal Counsellors Limited, Mrs. Kanungnij Sujitjorn from Office of Insurance Commission and Mr. Adisorn Pipatworapong from Office of Insurance Commission as guests speakers at Rattanakosin Room, Narai Hotel. There were altogether 110 participants attending the seminar.

On Thursday June 5, 2551 TNSC and Prachachart Turakij newspaper organized the seminar on “Driving Logistics Strategy to Handle with World Trade Crisis” at Army Club, Wipawadee-Rung Sit Road.

On Wednesday June 18, 2008 Thai National Shippers’ Council organized the 2nd/2008 Members Meeting and Road show. The event started with a warm welcoming remark by Mrs. Runothai Mahaddhananond, Executive Director, and the presentation on” TNSC’s Role in Overcome Import-Export Problems and Logistics Improvement.” After that, Asst. Prof. Pramual Chancheewa, Special Lecturer at Burapha University gave a presentation on “Big Picture of Thai Law and International Conventions on Logistics and International Transportation.” The road show was attended by 72 participants from 38 member companies at Bay Hotel, Samut Prakan.

On June 8-10, 2008 Mr. Suchart Chantaranakaracha, TNSC Chairman, visited Qingdao, China, to attend the 5th Asian Shippers' Meeting which was hosted by Japan Shippers’ Council. The meeting discussed on important issues such as Terminal Handling Charges (THCs), the repeal of the block antitrust exemption granted to ocean carriers by European Union, container security issue, new UNCITRAL Draft Convention for the International Carriage of Goods Wholly or Partly by Sea, wood packaging material and the increasing freight rates, charges and other surcharges.

On Tuesday May 27, 2008, Department of Export Promotion organized seminar on "Regulations adjustment to support Thailand to be regional logistics center." Mr. Paiboon Ponsuwanna, TNSC vice chairman, was a guest speaker on “Thai regulations adjustment for rice fruits vegetable frozen food garment and textile” at Grand Mercure Fortune Bangkok Hotel. There were altogether 150 participants attending the seminar.
