On August 20, 2008 Mr. Somboon Juasathirattana, Director, presented a flower basket to Mr.Siripol Yodmuangcharoen, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Commerce, to congratulate the Ministry of Commerce on the occasion of its 88th anniversary of establishment at Office of the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Commerce.

On Thursday August 14, 2008 Mr. Suchart Chantaranakaracha, Chairman, was a guest speaker at the discussion on "5 Councils Get Through Thai Logistics Crisis." The discussion was organized by the Logistics Time Magazine on the occasion of its 4th anniversary at Army Club. There were altogether 150 participants.

On Wednesday August 13, 2008 Thai National Shippers’ Council organized the 3rd/2008 Members Orientation. Dr.Phietoon Trivijitkasem, Vice Chairman, gave a warm welcoming remark to the participants before exchanging views and having lunch with the members. The orientation was attended by 74 participants from 27 companies. After that, all participants were led to visit Inland Container Depot (ICD) and they were briefed by Mr.Tongjit Boonyarit, Head of Container Transport Bureau of State Railway of Thailand before an observation tour in ICD.

On Friday August 1, 2008 at 19.00 hours His Majesty the King granted a royal permission to Thai Naional Shippers’ Council together with Interior Ministry Ladies Association to host the merit-making ceremony of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana at the Dusit Maha Prasart Throne Hall.

On Tuesday July 29, 2008 TNSC organized seminar on “Logistics Law and International Shipping.” Mr.Pramual Chancheewa, Managing Director of Pramualchai Law Office, was invited as guest speaker at the seminar which held at Narai Hotel. There were altogether 20 participants.

On Saturday July 26, 2008 TNSC organized a bowling friendly match no.1/2008 to strengthen relationship between TNSC members and directors and to show our appreciation for the members support. Dr. Phietoon Trivijitkasem, Vice Chairman, gave a welcome speech and opened the match at Blu-O Rhythm & Bowl. There were altogether 56 people from 37 member companies. The results were as following:
